Welcome! How much rain have we had over the weekend?! It is so slushy that it feels like I am on quick sand when walk around our backyard. I hope you had a lovely weekend and stayed warm and dry.
Our idiom from Friday is: It's a poor workman who quarrels with his tools. This means that only a person who is not good at a task would blame external circumstances for their own shortcomings.
For Main Lesson each day, use the left column as a warm up, as there are no "Morning Circle Instructions", (I think you know the routine), then move onto Bookwork, and then do the New Activity. Remember you can call me with any questions - just get your parents to say 'hi' on the phone before we chat.
I have put up some Percussion from Roderick, Latin from Elisabeth and Eurythmy from Kelly - they are on the page named "Specialist Lessons and Extra Work".
Have a great day!
Well done those students who sent through their writing from yesterday. I have put it above for you all to read and have a guess, before you look at the answers just below.
I have also put up a page of some of the work I have received from you over the last 4 weeks. If you would like something added to our sharing page, please send it through in as good a quality as you can. Drawings and paintings are especially lovely.
Have a wonderful day!
Hello dear Class 7 students,
I hope you are enjoying your solitude and a chance to write from your own careful observations. I have received seven more pieces of "What Am I?" writing which I have included above, in the middle column, followed by the answers. Take a few minutes to enjoy these.
I can't tell you how much I have appreciated receiving your writing exercises. I feel like I know what it was like to be an Australian settler receiving mail from dear friends from far away!
Have a lovely day.
Welcome to Thursday everyone.
I have really enjoyed hearing about how you are going - some parents have sent me photos of fun afternoon activities you have been doing. I have put these photos on the extras/specialists page. If you want to share something check with your parents and send it through to my email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have a great day everyone.
I will leave you with a sweet photo of our new ducks, Terrance and Jemima... (when I say 'ours' I mean the school's, well, Claire's...)
Hi everyone - here we are at Friday!
Our Main Lesson changes focus a little bit today; I hope you enjoy the new work.
Remember that if you have questions or if you are finding it difficult to know what to do next, you can ask your parents for their permission to have a phone chat with me. I will answer my phone during school hours. If for some reason I have stepped away rom my phone I will call you back as soon as I can.
Have a great weekend.
