Dear Class 7,

Welcome to week 4... at the end of this week we are half way through the term!

Did you have a great weekend? There were some slightly spring moments. I baked some pecan and choc chip cookies, and soon I will pop the recipe on the extension page, in case you want to give them a try.

Here is a joke from Viola - thanks Viola!

A little girl asks her mum how humans were created.

The mum says, “God created Adam and Eve and they had many children."

Then the girl went to her dad and asked how humans were created.

The dad said, “Well we were once monkeys and then we evolved into humans.”

The little girl was confused and went to her mum. She said,

“Mum, how is it that you tell me God created humans and dad says we were once monkeys?"

The mother said,

“Well of course I told you about my part of the family and dad told you about his."

Have a great day.

Good morning Class 7,

We have a birthday today - Happy Birthday Isabella! I hope you get to do something very lovely today.

Here's a two-line joke, or perhaps a quip (you could look this word up in your dictionary), for everyone:

Parallel lines have so much in common.

It's a shame they'll never meet.

If it's as beautiful today as yesterday I hope you get to spend some time outside in the glorious sun - have fun!

Hola Clase Siete,

A bit of a grey, rainy day today... This morning I am watching my chickens foraging for food in the garden. They seem pleased to be outside no matter the weather. They're such troopers!

Here's another joke for you.

What's the difference between a well dressed man on a bike and a poorly dressed man on a unicycle?

Have a great day.

Hello dear class 7 students...

I trust you are having a lovely day.

The jasmine is in flower and it smells like spring! It might not be in bloom yet in the valley, or the hills, but it will be soon.

Dear Class 7,

We are nearly at the end of our Main Lesson - we have a couple of days to go next week and then we will change to something else...

I have sent out a pack of materials so hopefully you have it or will get it in the next few days.

I thought it would be interesting to consider an idiom each morning. An idiom is a well-known saying that expresses something only if you know the hidden meaning - you can't take the words literally.

Like "A piece of cake" means something is easy.

Here's one to kick us off - feel free to email me one if you think of one.

What does this mean?

Caught between a rock and a hard place.

Have a stupendous weekend, and rest up for our week ahead.

Missing you all,

Love Larissa
